About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to manage property insurance claims up to £50,000. You will handle the full claims process from start to finish, liaising with contractors, clients, and insurers. The role involves reviewing repair scopes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial property claims (up to £50K)
  • Validate claims, assess liability, and make settlement decisions
  • Review repair scopes in line with HSE and CDM regulations
  • Identify fraud or recovery opportunities
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and detailed records
  • Liaise with customers, insurers, brokers, suppliers, and loss adjusters
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior colleagues
  • Handle complaints and contribute to service improvements
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in:
  • Technical claims handling
  • Building and construction
  • Strong scoping and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience using scoping tools (e.g., Xactware, CoreLogic)
  • A-Level or equivalent education
  • Ability to manage complex cases under pressure
  • Team player with a customer-focused approach
Desirable:
  • CII qualification (Cert CII / Dip CII) or RICS accreditation
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Experience with dilapidation and reinstatement projects
