With empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving skills, you’ll support them through what can often be a difficult time. Building rapport comes naturally, and you’re adaptable in every situation.To succeed in this role, you’ll need:Previous experience in a technical claims handling roleStrong knowledge of building defect diagnosis, construction, HSE & CDM regulationsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsHigh attention to detail and the ability to challenge and validate scopesCert CII or Cert CILA (advantageous but not essential)What You’ll Be DoingManaging a portfolio of commercial property claims within delegated authorityValidating and assessing insurers’ liability for claims up to £50KBuilding accurate scopes for commercial building repairs, ensuring CDM complianceIdentifying fraud/recovery opportunities and delivering accurate declinature decisionsCollaborating with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, suppliers, and customersProviding clear written and verbal communication throughout the claim processCoaching and mentoring junior team membersManaging complaints in line with client processesIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvementDesirable SkillsCert CII / Dip CII qualificationRICS or equivalent qualificationExperience with commercial property dilapidation and reinstatement projectsFamiliarity with industry scoping systems (e.g. Xactware, Cotality)Working HoursMonday to Friday, 8am – 6pm (shift pattern)Saturday mornings on a rota basis (9am – 1pm)Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekRewards & Benefits£27,000 – £35,000 per year (DOE)22 days’ holiday plus bank holidaysBirthday holidayFlexible working hoursPerformance-related bonus schemeOpportunities for subsidised professional qualificationsCompany pensionEmployee discountCasual dressCompany events & socialsOn-site parkingIf you’re experienced in technical claims handling with a background in buildings and construction, and you’re looking for a rewarding role where your expertise makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.MAN1
