  • Provide tailored support: Work closely with students, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their individual learning styles and needs.
  • Assist with lesson delivery: Collaborate with the SENCo and Class Teachers to help implement and deliver personalized learning plans (PLPs) and educational activities.
  • Promote an inclusive environment: Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued and can thrive.
  • Monitor and report progress: Keep detailed records of student progress and behavior, communicating regularly with teachers and parents to ensure a consistent support system.
  • Manage classroom behavior: Use positive behavior management strategies to help students stay on task and engaged.
  • Support personal and social development: Encourage independence and help students develop essential life skills, from communication to social interactions.
What We're Looking For
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational or care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when facing challenges.
  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
