Start Date: September 2025The School:Supply Desk is delighted to be working with a highly regarded SEN school in the Milton Keynes area, known for its inclusive ethos and nurturing learning environment. The school is dedicated to supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and provides a highly specialised and supportive setting that empowers students to thrive.To support growing demand and ensure the highest level of care and education, the school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience or interest in working with students with complex needs.Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging and accessible learning activities.Support the holistic development of pupils by following individualised education plans and therapeutic strategies.Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs, EHCPs, Risk Assessments, Personal Care, and Therapy Care Plans.Work in partnership with teachers, therapists, families, and external professionals to meet each child’s needs.Build strong, therapeutic relationships with students, offering emotional and practical support tailored to their specific challenges.Ideal Candidate:Previous experience supporting children with SEN, especially PMLD, or a strong desire to develop in this area.Understanding of or willingness to learn about specialist strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs.Confident in managing challenging behaviours in a calm, respectful, and positive manner.Committed to working either full-time or part-time on fixed days.Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).Relevant training (e.g., Moving & Handling, Team Teach, PECs, Makaton) is desirable but not essential.What We Offer:Competitive pay ratesA supportive consultant to guide you throughout your placementAccess to professional development and training opportunitiesPension contribution schemeA £100 ‘Golden Hello’ referral bonus for recommending a successful teacher or TAInterested?We’d love to hear from you!
