In addition MSF continues to build upon its presence in Ireland to become a widely recognised, accepted and respected humanitarian organisation among Irish audiences, and within the Irish humanitarian and political sector.The clinic administrator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the project clinic, with a range of administrative responsibilities supporting its day-to-day operations combined with a receptionist role, playing an important part in creating a welcoming environment for service users.DEPARTMENT: Programmes Unit (UK Migration Project)HOURS: Full time, 37.5 hours a weekLENGTH OF CONTRACT: Fixed Term Contract, one year with possibility of three-year renewal, subject to project fundingLOCATION: A 5-day in-person role working in the project clinic in Birmingham/Sandwell.REPORTS TO (JOB TITLE): Principal Psychologist/Clinical LeadSALARY: £ 28,711.79 - £31,263.94 per annumInternal salary grade: 11KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEKnowledge
  • Knowledge of routine and non-routine administrative procedures acquired through qualification or experience.
  • Data literacy, including in record-keeping systems and data protection compliance.
Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of tact and diplomacy in interacting with individuals experiencing distress and an understanding of mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent telephone and English language skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and work productively and accurately without direct supervision.
  • Competence in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists and caseworkers.
  • Ability to speak additional languages spoken by our services users would be beneficial to the role.
Experience
  • Experience of working in an administration role.
  • Experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, or survivors of trafficking and torture would be an asset.
  • Prior work in humanitarian, NGO, third-sector organisations or in a health care setting would be of benefit in the role.
