Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and Implementing IEPs: You will create and execute Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that are tailored to meet the specific academic, social, and emotional needs of each student.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Student Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with parents, support staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to student support.
  • Creating a Positive Classroom: Foster a supportive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Resource Management: Select and adapt appropriate resources and assistive technologies to facilitate student learning.
What We're Looking ForWe are looking for a highly skilled and empathetic professional who possesses a strong understanding of SEN pedagogy. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant specialism or experience in Special Educational Needs.
  • Proven experience in teaching students with a range of needs, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia, ADHD, or physical disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN policies and procedures, including the creation and review of IEPs.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, resilience, and a creative approach to problem-solving in the classroom.
  • A commitment to professional development and staying current with best practices in SEN education.
