- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, setting clear goals and strategies to meet their unique needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are differentiated and accessible for students with various learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress using a range of methods, and use this data to inform and adjust teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and parents, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture where every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to learn.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, behaviour, and communication with parents and external agencies.
- A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in SEN, or a relevant qualification in Special Education.
- Proven experience working as a SEN Teacher or in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Deep knowledge of different Special Educational Needs and the strategies required to support students effectively.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
