You will be responsible for creating and delivering tailored learning experiences for students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.   • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, support staff, and other professionals (such as therapists and social workers) to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being and development.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and empowered to learn.
  • Manage and mentor a team of SEN teaching assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must be a fully Qualified Teacher with experience working in a SEN setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEN: A strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and the strategies required to support students with these needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creativity and adaptability: The capacity to design innovative and flexible lesson plans to suit individual student requirements.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude: The ability to remain calm and optimistic, even in challenging situations.
  • A collaborative spirit: A team player who is eager to share knowledge and work with others to achieve shared goals.
