- Supervising students in the classroom and ensuring they remain on task with the work provided by the absent Teacher.
- Managing classroom behavior effectively, following the school's policies to maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
- Responding to student questions and providing support to help them understand the set tasks, without teaching new content.
- Reporting back on student engagement and behavior to the regular Teacher, providing a clear summary of the lesson's progress.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people is highly desirable.
- Confidence and Authority: The ability to command a classroom and establish a clear presence from the start.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication to interact effectively with students, staff, and Teachers.
- Adaptability and Resilience: The ability to handle unexpected situations and quickly adapt to different age groups and subjects.
