Job DescriptionSizewell C. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.We have a fantastic opportunity for Site Sustainability Advisor.The RoleAs Site Sustainability Advisor at Sizewell C, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the environmental legacy of one of the UK's largest new nuclear power projects. You'll work directly on-site, partnering with construction teams and contractors to ensure sustainability is woven into every stage of the build. This hands-on position requires a proactive and practical approach to driving environmental improvements, reducing waste, and promoting innovative sustainability initiatives.The Skills
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a sustainability or environmental advisory role on a large infrastructure or construction project.
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, construction sustainability standards, and climate resilience principles.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Competent in data analysis and sustainability reporting tools.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, CIWEM, ICE) is desirable.
