Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with our client a leading contractor specialising in civil engineering within major infrastructure sectors, including nuclear, highways, and large-scale projects. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and sustainability, they are committed to delivering complex engineering solutions that support the UK’s infrastructure growth. We are looking to recruit a Site Agent for its Sizewell C site.The Site Agent role is vital for ensuring the successful delivery of this exciting project and comes with a salary up to £63,000, car allowance and private health care.If you’re a Site Agent or Senior Agent and are looking to work for a dynamic and progressive organisation, then submit your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Contracts Manager you will:
  • Lead the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, program, and financial targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee the production of detailed construction programmes, monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery of critical activities.
  • Manage project risks, costs, and resources while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and support the project team, ensuring all members understand their responsibilities and are aligned with the project objectives.
  • Monitor and manage project changes, providing clear communication on the impact of changes to cost and time.
  • Prepare regular reports on project progress, highlighting risks, issues, and milestones to both internal and client teams.
Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:
  • Proven leadership and management skills within civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of the CDM Regulations and experience in implementing health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Experience producing and managing Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and cost plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Any other duties as required
