- Design, develop, and optimise PLC-based control systems for marine propulsion and vessel automation.
- Program control systems using industry-standard environments (ideally Beckhoff or similar platforms).
- Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead testing and validation of control logic to ensure robust operation under varied marine conditions.
- Support troubleshooting and diagnostic processes during commissioning and operational phases.
- Contribute to the development of HMI interfaces to support monitoring and usability.
- Stay up to date with new developments in PLC technology and marine automation to continuously improve system performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related discipline (Master's degree desirable).
- Strong background in PLC programming and control system design.
- Experience with Beckhoff or similar PLC development platforms.
- Familiarity with HMI design and system integration for real-time monitoring and control.
- Understanding of marine control systems and vessel automation (preferred).
- Proven ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot complex control systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach to design.
- Passion for marine innovation and commitment to sustainability.
