- Lead the design and implementation of PLC, HMI & SCADA systems, targeting Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure, Modicon, M340/580, Unity Pro/Control Expert) architecture.
- Define and develop automation software to meet client specifications and industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership within multi-disciplinary project teams; mentor and support junior engineers.
- Oversee the full software project lifecycle – specification, coding, simulation, FAT/SAT, troubleshooting, and on-site commissioning.
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders, ensuring seamless handover, robust documentation and effective training.
- Champion innovation, safety standards and continuous improvement throughout all projects.
- Proven track record (typically 5+ years) designing and delivering industrial software control solutions, with advanced proficiency in Schneider Electric (Unity Pro/Control Expert, Vijeo Designer, Citect/AVEVA, EcoStruxure).
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA configuration, and HMI development for Schneider Electric systems.
- Excellent understanding of automation project lifecycle: functional design, testing, commissioning, documentation and customer support.
- Relevant engineering degree (electrical, automation or similar), or equivalent vocational experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills – confident engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to travel to client sites (mainly southern England) as projects require; valid UK driving licence preferred.
