- Lead the design, development, and commissioning of industrial control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI software.
- Analyse customer requirements, prepare functional design specifications, and develop detailed technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, driving continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing.
- Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT), ensuring reliable and efficient delivery of automation projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and liaise directly with customers to ensure timely project delivery and high-quality solutions.
- Engage in system integration, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Ensure all software solutions comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and Actemium best practices.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering PLC/SCADA software for industrial automation projects (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider or similar platforms).
- Excellent understanding of control philosophy, instrumentation, and systems integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and with customers.
- HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience in engineering, software, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience delivering automation solutions in regulated sectors (e.g., water, energy, process industries) desirable but not essential.
