A wonderful opportunity to join a Commercial insurance office that is only going in one direction, with a book of commercial clients that is growing.Due to the growth, the business is looking for a strong experienced Senior Insurance Broker, to ensure the same level of professional services are provided to Clients paying premiums between circa £50k and £100k GWP, and higher.The business is part of a large UK and Global business, but local service and presence is key to delivery. A community broker at heart.The RoleAs a Senior Insurance Broker you will be :-
Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, as their key adviser – by telephone or email
Work with the Client Executive to deal with any complex queries, working closely to ensure a joined up approach to client liaison
Managing Commercial insurance queries across Property, Casualty, Commercial Combined and Motor Fleet, along with some ancillary covers. A strong level of expertise is desired across the core disciplines.
Managing Commercial insurance clients paying premiums between £50k and £250k
As a senior member of the team, to help with the ad hoc coaching of more junior staff – ad hoc.
Requirements of a Senior Insurance Broker
This is largely an office-based role, close to Burnley
As an experienced Senior Insurance Broker, you must have a minimum of 5 years core UK Commercial product knowledge
Your background can be Commercial Underwriting or from a broker.
You’ll be able to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels and should be used to using Word, Excel and be competent with Acturis (Or equivalent)
You should also be confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels within a Broker and have a wider skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, sales, influencing and IT Skills
