- Carry out surveys & estimates in an accurate & timely manner
- Grade containers
- Prepare containers for customer bookings
- Maintain high standards of good housekeeping, with particular attention to the working area – equipment/tools stored in relevant areas, sweeping, and picking up any rubbish especially nails or sharp objects.
- Maintain health and safety standards within your own working area and looking out for colleagues, always wear relevant PPE and ensure others are.
- Raise any concerns or issues accordingly to your manager or the H&S manager.
- Read and understand risk assessments relevant to your working area and follow safe system of work.
- Previous experience of working in a container/haulage industry.
- Use own initiative with a flexible approach.
- Basic IT skills.
- Proactive, innovative, and creative approach to problem solving.
- A mature approach to H&S.
- The ability to ensure records are maintained.
- Attention to detail.
- Numerical and analytical skills.
