Key responsibilities
  • Carry out surveys & estimates in an accurate & timely manner
  • Grade containers
  • Prepare containers for customer bookings
  • Maintain high standards of good housekeeping, with particular attention to the working area – equipment/tools stored in relevant areas, sweeping, and picking up any rubbish especially nails or sharp objects.
  • Maintain health and safety standards within your own working area and looking out for colleagues, always wear relevant PPE and ensure others are.
  • Raise any concerns or issues accordingly to your manager or the H&S manager.
  • Read and understand risk assessments relevant to your working area and follow safe system of work.
About you
  • Previous experience of working in a container/haulage industry.
  • Use own initiative with a flexible approach.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Proactive, innovative, and creative approach to problem solving.
  • A mature approach to H&S.
  • The ability to ensure records are maintained.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Numerical and analytical skills.
  • A strong team player, encouraging a team working environment with the commitment to drive and support others as required.
