The school is seeking a committed Complex Needs Teacher to deliver engaging, individualised lessons that promote both learning and independence.As a Complex Needs Teacher in this setting, you will work with small groups of pupils who may have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, communication impairments, and physical disabilities. You will have access to excellent facilities, specialist equipment, and a collaborative team of teaching assistants and therapists who share your goal of enabling every pupil to achieve their potential.Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering tailored, creative lessons that meet individual learning and developmental needs
- Using a variety of teaching methods and specialist resources to support engagement and progress
- Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists to ensure consistent, effective support
- Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and external professionals
- Supporting pupils with communication, sensory processing, and physical development
- Creating a safe, positive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive
- QTS and experience teaching pupils with complex learning needs (desirable, not essential)
- Strong knowledge of strategies for supporting PMLD, autism, and communication impairments
- Creativity, flexibility, and patience in planning and delivering lessons
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
