A welcoming and well-resourced primary special school in Birmingham is seeking a passionate Complex Needs Teacher to join their team. This rewarding role involves teaching small classes of no more than 6 pupils with a range of complex learning needs and physical disabilities. With excellent facilities and highly supportive leadership, this is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to make a real impact.As a Complex Needs Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that enable every child to access learning and make progress. You will be supported by a team of experienced teaching assistants, ensuring pupils receive the individual care and attention they require. The school places a strong emphasis on providing a nurturing environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.Responsibilities include:
- Teaching primary-aged pupils with complex needs and physical disabilities.
- Planning creative differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Working closely with experienced teaching assistants to deliver outstanding support.
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies.
- Promoting independence, communication, and social skills.
- QTS and experience teaching pupils with SEND.
- Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with complex needs.
- A creative, flexible approach to planning and teaching.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with special educational needs.
