Are you an experienced Complex Needs Teacher looking for a rewarding new role? A supportive and welcoming primary special school in Birmingham is seeking a passionate Complex Needs Teacher to join their dedicated team. This role offers the chance to teach small classes of no more than 6 pupils with complex learning needs and physical disabilities, supported by experienced teaching assistants and excellent leadership.As a Complex Needs Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of every pupil. You will work closely with teaching assistants to ensure that each child receives tailored support and can thrive in both their academic and personal development. The school has excellent facilities that allow a Complex Needs Teacher to provide a broad and enriching curriculum, ensuring pupils develop confidence, independence, and communication skills.Responsibilities include:
- Delivering personalised lessons as a Complex Needs Teacher for primary-aged pupils.
- Working in partnership with teaching assistants to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Creating a nurturing and supportive classroom environment as a Complex Needs Teacher.
- Using a range of strategies to support pupils with physical disabilities and complex needs.
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Supporting social, emotional, and academic development through creative teaching.
- QTS and proven experience as a Complex Needs Teacher.
- Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs.
- A flexible and creative approach suited to being a successful Complex Needs Teacher.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A passion for improving the lives of pupils and a commitment to inclusive education.
