- Lead a team of 3 Strategic Buyers responsible for categories including: Care, Digital Services, and Soft Facilities Management.
- Work with and mentor your team to Analyse, prepare business cases and implement procurement led improvements.
- Support your team to assist key stakeholders in contract management of suppliers.
- Encourage and support your team to Improve supplier performance. Actively manage suppliers and cost base.
- Work closely with the senior management team to manage budgets and the direction of the department.
- Manage your own Corporate Category responsible for areas including but not limited to: Insurance, Legal, Training, Business Travel & Accommodation, Contracts & Policies.
- Ensure all group policies & procedures are adhered to.
- An experienced Procurement professional, ideally with a background of indirect procurement.
- A team leader with the ability to coach and mentor a small team.
- A strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to deliver value and innovation through procurement.
- Able to drive strategic change, prepare business cases and improve supplier performance
- Skilled in contract negotiation, supplier management and sourcing strategy, with a clear understanding of the full procurement lifecycle.
- Highly analytical, able to interpret data to drive procurement decisions, influence stakeholders and monitor supplier performance.
- An excellent communicator, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders. Operational colleagues and external suppliers.
- A self-starter, comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, purpose driven organisation.
- Highly detail-oriented & an expert on sourcing & buying indirect on a large-scale
- Solution-minded, flexible in thinking & willing to learn.
