This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys variety and is confident in their ability to teach across a wide range of subjects and year groups, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and ensuring that students remain engaged and on task in the absence of their regular teacher.The School:Situated in Leeds, this secondary school is a large and highly-respected institution known for its strong academic record and supportive community.   • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons to a variety of classes
  • Maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment
  • Supervising students and ensuring they are on task
  • Following the school's policies and procedures
  • Providing support and guidance to students
  • Reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate staff member
  • Leaving a summary of the lesson's progress for the regular teacher
  • Managing student behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensuring all students are accounted for at the start of the lesson
  • Adhering to the school's safeguarding protocols at all times
