This full-time position involves delivering pre-prepared lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students remain on track during teacher absence.   • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a recognised teaching qualification
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Prior experience working with students aged 11-16
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in a range of subjects across KS3 and KS4
  • Keep students focused, motivated, and engaged in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Uphold the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a variety of learning needs
  • Support student progress through effective classroom supervision
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Deal with any behaviour issues promptly and fairly
  • Liaise with department heads and pastoral staff where necessary
  • Report safeguarding or well-being concerns appropriately
  • Encourage enthusiasm and effort in every lesson
