Are you ready to drive transformational change across a dynamic rail infrastructure environment? We're looking for a strategic and collaborative professional to join our Engineering team and take the lead in shaping and coordinating our Fleet Infrastructure Renewals Mobilisation.As the Fleet Infrastructure Renewals Mobilisation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex change initiatives within our Engineering function. You'll coordinate significant renewal projects, align plans with Railway Group Standards and statutory obligations, and keep our services running efficiently. Your work will directly support the seamless execution of train service delivery, maintenance schedules, and servicing activities.This is a high-impact role where your ability to plan, coordinate, and influence will make a real difference.What you will be doing:
  • Act as the go-to person for all internal requests related to significant infrastructure changes.
  • Develop and maintain a clear and detailed roadmap for the renewals program.
  • Proactively identify, address, and resolve any potential conflicts or overlaps in the plan.
  • Lead coordination meetings and ensure cross-functional teams remain aligned.
  • Provide transparent, timely updates and reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Support the preparation of business cases and funding requests tied to proposed changes.
  • Monitor progress, assess risks, and maintain momentum on key milestones.
What we are looking for:Essential:
  • Experience in a coordination or leadership role within the rail sector, particularly involving renewals or infrastructure projects.
  • A strong grasp of project management principles and roadmap creation.
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management and prioritisation skills.
  • Familiarity with rail standards, regulations, and operational frameworks.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling software.
Desirable:
  • Degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Accreditation in project or change management (APM, PRINCE2, etc.).
  • Experience with change management or large-scale transformation programs.
