Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Irlam (Immediate Start)Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly respected and inclusive primary school in Irlam to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting immediately, and involves providing focused one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).The school is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and is renowned for its nurturing environment and inclusive approach. With a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to meet individual needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive, child-centred team.Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small group settings
  • Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support pupil development
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt support as required
Candidate Requirements:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young learners
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
