Cover People are working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated 'Good' independent special school in Partington that supports children and young people aged 8 to 25 with autism, complex learning needs, and behavioural challenges.This school combines academic learning with life skills, outdoor education, and community engagement in a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to grow emotionally, socially, and educationally. The team are dedicated, collaborative, and committed to providing consistent, person-centred support.What You’ll Be Doing:One-to-one and small group support: Help pupils access the curriculum and meet individual targets set out in their EHCPs.Classroom support: Work alongside teaching staff to deliver activities tailored to different learning styles and needs.Encouraging independence: Guide students to build confidence, life skills, and self-esteem.Positive behaviour support: Use effective strategies to manage behaviour and promote engagement.Collaborative working: Communicate effectively with SENCOs, therapists, and school staff to ensure a joined-up approach.Track progress: Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular reviews of student development.Emotional support: Build trusting relationships and provide consistent, caring interactions to help students feel safe and valued.Who We’re Looking For:Background education: Previous experience working with young people is essential.
