- Supervise Classes: Manage and supervise classes during the short-term absence of a teacher, ensuring students are on task and engaged with the work set.
- Maintain Order: Uphold the school's behavior policy, ensuring a calm, safe, and focused learning environment for all students.
- Support Learning: Respond to student questions and provide assistance with the pre-set work, without acting as a subject-specific expert.
- Administrative Duties: Register student attendance and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
- Resource Management: Ensure all classroom resources and materials are organized and ready for use by students.
- Positive Relationships: Build a good rapport with students, encouraging them to be independent, respectful, and responsible learners.
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
- A confident and authoritative presence with excellent classroom management skills.
