This is a unique opportunity to be part of a company at the forefront of industrial automation.We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Mechanical Fitter / Machinist who will play a crucial role in assembling, fitting and machining of electrical test machines.The role requires a hands-on approach, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and precision.You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on teamwork and problem-solving, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and close-knit team.In addition to this, as our Mechanical Fitter / Machinist you will be responsible for:
  • Assembling and fitting mechanical components and sub-assemblies for Robotic test machines.
  • Manufacturing parts using milling machines and lathes along with other general workshop equipment to ensure product quality and precision.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions to ensure components are correctly fitted.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborating with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machine performance.
  • Carrying out a multitude of assembly and fitting procedures with good dexterity as we have several assemblies that are quite small and precise.
  • Assisting in machine upgrades, modifications, and customizations as required.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
  • A qualified machinist/fitter with hands-on experience in mechanical fitting and assembly.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and standard fitting techniques.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., assembly or mechanical fitting) within a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in an evolving industry.
