Mechanical Fitter – £42,000Location: Stockport
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (early finish Friday at 4pm)
Type: Permanent, Full-TimeAre you a skilled Mechanical Fitter with TIG welding experience?Do you have a solid mechanical background and a passion for working on high-spec machinery industrial machinary?We’re supporting a leading growing manufacturer in Stockport who is looking to expand their Engineering team with a hands-on Welder Mechanical Fitter. You’ll be involved in welding, mechanical fitting and maintenance of automated production equipment.Key Responsibilities:Carry out high-quality TIG welding (essential)Use MIG and stick welding where required (preferred)Fit and assemble mechanical components from engineering drawingsPerform mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairsConduct routine PPM tasks on production machineryWork with gearboxes, conveyors, pump systems and moreSupport production teams to maximise uptime and efficiencyFollow health and safety procedures, including LOTO and risk assessmentsAssist with general facilities maintenance when needed * 1 in 5 weeks on callWhat We’re Looking For:Apprentice-trained or equivalent in mechanical engineeringStrong TIG welding ability (this is a must)MIG and stick welding skills – desirableExperience with mechanical fitting, fault finding and inspectionsBackground in maintaining automated manufacturing machineryAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsHealth and safety awarenessWilling to join an on-call rota (paid, every 5 weeks – even if not called out)What’s In It for You?£42,000Monday–Friday role with an early finish on FridaysCompany pension & life assuranceFree company productsFree on-site parkingDiscounts on food, retail, holidays, cinema & gymsWellness support – EAP & OnDemand GP serviceFree early access to paySalary sacrifice schemesEmployee referral bonusesIf this sounds like your next role, or you’d like more information, get in touch today or click apply!Contact:
