They’ve built strong momentum across the UK and globally and are now expanding the team to keep pace with demand.They’re now looking for a 2nd Line Data QA Support Engineer to join their Product Engineering function—someone who thrives on uncovering the root of data issues, enjoys blending technical support with quality assurance, and is comfortable working across multiple tools and systems.The Role:This is a hands-on hybrid role that sits at the intersection of data quality, support, and engineering. You’ll act as the first line of defence for data issues—tracking down mismatches, validating integration logic, and ensuring the platform delivers clean, accurate results to its users.Your day-to-day will involve working closely with spreadsheets, APIs, internal systems, and engineering stakeholders to identify problems and drive resolutions. There’s also the opportunity to grow into scripting and automation, contributing directly to the future of how data QA is handled as the company scales.What You'll Be Doing:
- Investigate complex data discrepancies across multiple integration sources
- Use spreadsheets and analytical tools to compare expected vs. actual outputs
- Collaborate with engineering and customer teams to triage and resolve issues
- Maintain clear and actionable documentation of bugs, escalations, and patterns
- Help shape internal QA and support processes for a growing set of data integrations
- Take ownership of incoming tickets and see them through to resolution
- Build the foundations for automation—writing or contributing to scripts in Python/JavaScript
- Contribute to scaling efforts across 70+ integrations and growing.
- Strong analytical mindset and love for solving puzzles
- Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support, Technical Support, or QA-focused role
- Advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in technical reporting
- The ability to work independently and juggle multiple issues with calm efficiency
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and structured QA processes
- Previous experience working with SaaS integrations or data pipelines
- Coding experience in Python or JavaScript for light automation (or interest in learning)
- Exposure to data QA, testing frameworks, or document-based workflows
- A passion for improving systems, not just fixing symptoms
