
Events Executive (12-Month Maternity Cover)

- Lead the end-to-end management of mid-scale events, from brief to completion.
- Support senior colleagues on large-scale, high-profile projects with multiple workstreams.
- Oversee smaller trade shows, client events, and internal gatherings, while managing key elements of flagship events such as MIPCOM in Cannes.
- Ensure all events are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand and business objectives.
- Manage logistics including venues, travel, catering, AV, delegate management, and onsite delivery.
- Oversee onsite builds and stand set-up, liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
- Coordinate talent bookings and ensure all rider and hospitality requirements are met.
- Produce and adapt speaker presentations (PowerPoint/Keynote), incorporating multimedia content.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety and ensure legal/procedural documentation is in place.
- Create accurate budget forecasts, track spend and provide regular updates.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and ensure cost efficiency across all projects.
- Partner with marketing, comms, and content teams to align event delivery with strategy.
- Support junior team members and contribute to developing best practice processes.
- Liaise confidently with senior stakeholders and external partners, representing the Events team professionally.
- Apply creativity and digital tools to enhance event experiences.
- Explore opportunities to integrate AI tools into planning, communications, and event evaluation to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Manage delegate registration systems and event apps.
- Evaluate event performance and share insights for improvement.
- 3–5 years’ proven experience delivering corporate, trade, or entertainment industry events.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience of international trade fairs or exhibitions.
- Strong knowledge of AV and production requirements; able to brief suppliers effectively.
- Proficiency in event technology (registration systems, apps, CRM), plus Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Creative event design skills and an audience-first mindset.
- Onsite team leadership experience, calm under pressure.
- Detail-oriented, problem solver with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Interest in TV, entertainment culture, and event trends.
- Experience producing internal conferences.
- Experience working in media, broadcast, or entertainment environments.
- Confidence using delegette management systems (Zkipster & Gather) AI productivity tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to streamline workflows, enhance communications, and support event delivery.
