We are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025.About the Role:As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom to deliver pre-set lessons during teacher absences – maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring students remain on task. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a secondary setting.Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising lessons across the curriculum in the absence of the class teacher
- Ensuring students are engaged, focused, and following the set work
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting students with questions or challenges during lessons
- Reporting back to teaching staff regarding student behaviour and progress
- Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible and proactive attitude
- A genuine interest in working with secondary-aged students
- Previous experience in an education or youth work setting
- Degree-level education or relevant qualification
- Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour strategies
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
