Cover Supervisor | Full-Time | Loughborough and Surrounding AreasPay: £100 - £110 per day dependent on experienceGSL Education is seeking motivated and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Loughborough and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, develop teaching skills, or for those who are passionate about supporting students in their learning journey.Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classroom behavior and ensuring students remain on task during the absence of the regular class teacher. While there is no direct teaching involved, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, supervise students, and maintain a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
  • Delivering pre-set work to students and ensuring they stay focused and engaged.
  • Managing classroom behavior and addressing any disruptions.
  • Supporting students with any questions about the lesson content.
  • Reporting any incidents or concerns to the relevant school staff.
  • Following the school’s policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A DBS registered to the update service
  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
  • Confidence, flexibility, and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting.
