The service recruit adopters and family-finds for children across our partner agencies. Adopt London West aspires to promote best practice across its adoption and special guardianship support services.An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 x Practice Support Co-ordinator to join Adopt London West on a 12-month fixed term contract/ secondment cover.We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and conscientious Practice Support Co-ordinator to join our team who will provide a comprehensive business and administration support service.Whilst you will be part of the team at Adopt London West this particular role will be responsible for specific business functions including coordinating activities for the wider Adopt London partnership.Adopt London is the partnership of 4 regional adoption agencies, Adopt London North, Adopt London South, Adopt London East and Adopt London West, together we provide adoption services for 24 London boroughs, we have a number of shared projects and activities, including, training, events and other specific tasks that require central coordination to ensure that all 4 regions benefit equally from the shared projects. You will be based in Ealing but may be required to occasionally travel to any of the other Adopt London offices in Islington, Southwark or Havering.The successful candidate will be an individual who:
  • Can manage competing priorities and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Has great communication skills and IT skills.
  • The ability to adapt to new ways of working and to challenge and champion new ideas and processes.
  • Can work productively with the Service to maintain high levels of data quality, maintaining systems & spreadsheets and producing key statistical information in relation to Children and Adoptive Families.
  • Can be responsible for the accurate and confidential recording of a wide range of information pertaining to children and prospective adopters.
  • Can process financial transactions in accordance with Financial regulations.
  • Can provide extensive Panel Support in relation to our Monthly Adoption Panels
  • Is reliable, efficient and has excellent organisational skills to fulfil a wide variety of administrative tasks to support the work of the team.
You will be known for your attention to detail, can do attitude and demonstrate your ability to maintain focus whilst working under pressure to deadlines whilst delivering good customer service.You must have the right to work in the UK.
