- Analyse outpatient performance and identify areas for improvement based on Key performance criteria
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce waiting times and improve patient flow
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to optimise service delivery
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring targets are met and exceeded
- Champion patient-centred care and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage resources efficiently and support staff development
- Proven management experience within the NHS or a similar environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable track record of improving service performance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams

- Management/Project Qualification
- Study at Post Graduate level/ equivalent experience or evidence of CPD
- Knowledge and awareness of: NHS Plan & Targets, National service frameworks, National strategy and policy, Clinical Governance, Workforce development, Organisational Development methods, Performance Improvement Approaches, Local health commissioning policies, strategies, arrangements and networks.

- Ability to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information relating to outpatient and patient administrative pathways and processes; agreement or co-operation required
- Experience as well as knowledge of all activity targets and managing waiting lists
- Ability to influence, negotiate and build working relationships.
- Ability to plan and organise a broad range of complex activities, adjusting plans as required.
- Motivational skills to encourage collaborative working to improve services/performance where there may be resistance to change.
- Aptitude to be a self-starter in keeping up to date and increasing depth knowledge of the agenda for designated services
