Our client, a well-established and privately owned construction and office refurbishment company, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. Specialising in commercial fit-outs and refurbishments, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, sustainable, and client-focused workplace solutions across London and the South of England. Founded in 2004, our client delivers high-end office design, fit-outs, and refurbishments. Operating with a lean, agile team of around 25 employees, they punch above their weight in terms of efficiency and project delivery. Their services include construction management, design updates, and minimal disruption refurbishments-backed by a deep commitment to quality, safety, and environmental responsibilityABOUT THE ROLEAs a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in delivering commercial office fit-out and refurbishment projects. You’ll be responsible for managing costs, assessing risk, handling procurement, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion. You'll work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure value, quality, and compliance are maintained throughout.Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates and tender documents for fit-out projects
  • Manage budgets, monitor project variations, and handle valuations
  • Procure and manage subcontractor packages
  • Attend client meetings and provide regular financial updates
  • Ensure project profitability and commercial control
  • Support sustainable and efficient project delivery
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the commercial fit-out or refurbishment sector
  • Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, and contract administration
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (HND/Degree level preferred)
