- Reviewing customer applications to assess life and disability risks
- Deciding on policy terms based on autonomy level and risk factors
- Requesting further information where necessary to support underwriting decisions
- Communicating professionally with customers, colleagues and third parties
- Recording work accurately to support effective decision-making
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements
- Supporting complaint handling by identifying and escalating issues appropriately
- Ensuring customer expectations are met throughout the application journey
- Understanding of risk factors related to mortality and morbidity
- Basic knowledge of protection products such as Life, Critical Illness and Income Protection
- Awareness of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across various platforms
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
- Ability to assess applications holistically and make balanced decisions
