As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial, commercial, and contractual aspects of projects from post-tender handover through to final account close-out. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, subcontractors, and the wider commercial team to ensure value for money, contractual compliance, and cost control.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead subcontract procurement, from tender package preparation and analysis through to contract executionCollaborate with project teams and design consultants to ensure tender information is complete, accurate, and value-engineered where possibleManage and monitor project costs in line with budgets, preparing and updating cashflows and cost value reconciliationsPrepare, negotiate, and agree interim valuations, variations, and final accounts with clients and subcontractorsCarry out site measurements from drawings or on-site visitsMaintain accurate procurement trackers, change order registers, and cost reporting toolsAttend and contribute to project meetings, providing all necessary commercial informationMentor and support assistant or graduate quantity surveyors as requiredSkills & Experience RequiredDegree in Quantity Surveying, ideally a RICS-accredited degree or be working towards MRICS chartershipMinimum 3 years' experience with a main contractor, ideally including Design & Build projectsStrong knowledge of UK construction contracts (JCT D&B preferred), building regulations, and commercial risk managementFamiliarity with BCIS and elemental cost benchmarkingExcellent numerical, analytical, negotiation and time-managementskillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsand understand construction methodsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsValid CSCS card preferredWillingness to travel to sites as requiredStrong attention to detail and teamworking capabilityProficient in Microsoft OfficeWhat JJ Rhatigan Can Offer YouCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career progressionThe chance to work on high-profile projects with real community impactA collaborative, forward-thinking work environmentIf you're ready to bring your commercial expertise to a growing and ambitious contractor, we'd love to hear from you.JJ Rhatigan & Company is an equal opportunities employer.SalaryCompetitve
