- Supporting community organisations that uplift and empower Coventry's residents
- Identifying and securing external funding to fuel innovation and sustainability
- Championing volunteers as essential partners in service delivery and community support
- Leading and coordinating funding bids and partnership collaborations
- Advising Council officers, elected members, and programme boards on volunteering and community engagement
- Supporting service and asset transfers to community ownership with integrity and strategic oversight
- Contributing to the development of new policies and standards that shape the future of community resilience
- Delivering targeted development support to voluntary sector groups across the city
- Measuring and reporting impact to inform future practice and policy
- Managing day-to-day operations of the Community Resilience Team, including matrix management and deputising for the Team Manager when required
- A strong understanding of the voluntary and community sector
- Experience in securing and managing funding streams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence in working across teams and with external partners
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for inclusive, community-led change
- Care about delivering an excellent service to every internal and external customer
- Excellent communication skills, confident in face to face, telephone and written activity
