
Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

- Devise and implement evidence-based therapy programmes, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
- Maintain high standards of clinical care, aligned with national best practice guidelines and professional standards
- Act as a Key Worker, contributing to cohesive goal-setting, coordinated therapy planning, and smooth discharge processes
- Supervise and support junior team members, including therapy assistants and students, contributing to their development and clinical education
- Actively participate in internal training programmes, including staff induction, mandatory training, and multidisciplinary in-service sessions
- Adhere to all relevant professional codes of practice, regulatory standards, and organisational policies to ensure safe and ethical practice
- Contribute to service audits, clinical evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and outcomes
- Safeguard individuals, promoting their safety, wellbeing, and human rights at all times
- HCPC registration
- Training and competence in dysphagia management
- Previous experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
- Confidence in assessment, goal-setting, and delivering evidence-based interventions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to delivering person-centred, outcome-driven care
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
