
Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

- A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
- Portfolio of relevant post qualification CPD
- Relevant Hanen Training (e.g. It Takes Two To Talk, Let's Interact etc)
- Working experience of assessing and managing caseloads within clinical area
- Experience of effective multidisciplinary/agency working
- Experience of enabling different staff groups to understand issues around communication
- Experience of supporting students and other staff
- Experience of delivering training to parents and professionals
- Experience of delivering a variety of approaches to SLT service delivery
- Experience in developing evaluation / audit tools and resources as part of SLT team Experience of delivering Learning and development opportunities for others
- Experience of working at a 'targeted' level
- Experience of writing EHCP reports
- Knowledge of SLT delivery including the use of different approaches and multi-disciplinary working, across different contexts and environments.
- Knowledge of national policies and procedures (relevant to the client group)
- Knowledge of different assessments and interventions to working with children's speech and language
- Experience of supporting other staff and students
- Empathetic and psychologically minded
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well organized
- Good reasoning skills
- Motivated and a motivator
- Team builder and team member
- Reflective practitioner
- Ability to manage own well-being with access to supervision to sustain this
