Rate: £44,000 – £49,000 per annum
Duration: PermanentWe are seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary team in Loughborough. This band 6/7 role is ideal for professionals with advanced clinical skills in speech and language therapy and dysphagia management, alongside a strong commitment to service development and staff training.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a specialist caseload of service users with complex needs in both inpatient and community settings. You will plan, deliver, and evaluate individual and group interventions, including advanced dysphagia management. You will also lead in your area of expertise, offering guidance to colleagues, health professionals, and carers, while supervising and training less experienced therapists, assistants, and students. Additional responsibilities include participating in audits, service evaluations, and research, managing therapy equipment, maintaining accurate clinical records, and communicating effectively with service users and carers.Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC and RCSLT registration
  • Completion of RCSLT Level C / EDS Level 5 Specialist Dysphagia Practitioner Competencies
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and specialist training
  • Proven ability to independently manage a complex caseload using evidence-based practice
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Confidence in leading training and supporting staff development
  • Flexible and resilient approach to practice
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults
