
Locum Consultant Haematologist General haematology & haemato-oncology

- Full and Specialist registration (and with a license to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) or be eligible for registration within six months of interview.
- Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
- Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT
- FRCPath or equivalent.
- MRCP or equivalent.
- Higher research degree
- Have experience in the diagnostic and clinical haematology and the relevant clinical areas (as described in the JD).
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients with haematological conditions
- Experience of clinical audit
- Experience in Clinical trials
- Have experience in the management of resources.
- Proven publications record
- Have experience in management of staff/colleagues and demonstrate management of change
- Able to take responsibility, show leadership and make decisions
- Knowledge of processes and function of clinical governance
- Have demonstrated an ability to work co-operatively with other colleagues and in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to work across sites
