We are partnering with a well-regarded global investment manager to appoint a Business Development Manager to join their growing UK Wholesale team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-impact, externally facing sales role focused on relationship building, business development and revenue generation across a panel of professional intermediary clients. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding the firm's footprint across London and the surrounding areas, while also supporting senior colleagues on key accounts and national initiatives. The role combines proactive client acquisition, account management, and collaboration with sales, marketing and investment teams.This role would suit a motivated and commercially driven sales professional who thrives in a collaborative and client-focused environment. You'll have a good grasp of the UK intermediary landscape, a strong understanding of investment products, and a natural ability to connect with clients and uncover opportunities.The successful candidate will be involved in:
  • Driving sales and reduce redemptions by promoting a wide range of investment solutions including OEICs, SICAVs, ETFs, Private Markets and Fund Solutions.
  • Managing and develop relationships across a London-based panel of wealth managers, fund selectors, private banks, family offices, global institutions, IFAs and platforms.
  • Engaging clients through in-person and virtual meetings, fund manager events, conferences and roadshows.
  • Supporting senior Business Development Directors in London with account coverage, client follow-ups and strategic engagement on key opportunities.
  • Partnering with regional Business Development Directors to contribute ideas, leads and campaign support, including attendance at regional roadshows.
  • Working closely with sales support, marketing, portfolio managers and product specialists to deliver consistent and coordinated client experiences.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and contribute actively to team sales meetings and planning sessions.
  • Staying fully compliant with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • IMC or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Prior experience within the UK wholesale distribution market, either in a hybrid support/sales or business development role
  • A strong grasp of global investment markets and a passion for delivering solutions to clients.
  • Confident communicator with a track record of face-to-face and virtual client engagement.
  • Commercially minded self-starter with a proactive, organised and collaborative approach.
  • Capable of navigating investment insight tools such as Fundpath or similar platforms.
  • Excellent presentation, relationship-building and communication skills.
