
Full Time Medical Receptionist

- Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
- Ensuring appropriate appointment booking when requested by patients, GPs or nurses.
- Completing day-to-day administration tasks such as handling inbound documents, registering new patients, data entry, prescription requests and recall of patients.
- Promotion and compliance with safeguarding of all of our service users
- Using your own judgement and communication skills to ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner.
- Achieved a minimum qualification in English Language & Mathematics
- Experienced in working with the general public - both face to face contact and by telephone
- Experience in working in a busy office environment
- Good communication skills
- Good keyboard skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills with whole team
- Ability to work to protocols and procedures
- Drive and commitment

- AMSPAR Qualification Experience of reception work specifically within General Practice, together with keyboard skills
