The ability to maintain a professional, caring, calm, friendly service to all our service users in a busy environment is essential.Hours for the post are full time which is 37.5 hours to be worked over 7 days.***PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY***Main duties of the jobThe post covers a range of reception duties including, greeting patients, covering the reception desk, assisting patients with the ED Streamer check-in system, answering the telephones, dealing with general queries etc. in an accurate, timely and professional manner.About usBloomfield Medical Ltd also manages the Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre which is an open access service based in Whitegate Health Centre, Whitegate Drive Blackpool. The Urgent Treatment Centre aims to deliver convenient accessible primary care services and is open every day of the year from 8am to 8pm. The receptionist will record demographics and other mandatory information, which will include clinical details on the joint computer system. They will act as a first point of contact for all patients wishing to access unscheduled healthcare and will signpost patients to identified service providers as appropriate. This will involve welcoming new patients into the service and providing support and guidance on the ED Streamer check-in system.The receptionist is the communication link between the clinical team and the patient whilst in the waiting room and will keep the patient updated on predicted waiting times for treatment, working closely with colleagues from the Urgent Treatment Centre to create a collaborative team approach to the reception cover.
