And with a strong presence across Europe and the Americas, we are leading the human-centric payment revolution as a truly global team.About the Corporate Development teamThe Corporate Development team plays a key role in shaping Trustly's long-term growth strategy. The team focuses on identifying and executing strategic initiatives, including investments, and M&A opportunities. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, Corporate Development drives high-impact projects that help scale the business globally. The role is located in Trustly's London office, with occasional need for travel to our HQ in Stockholm, and other global offices. \nWhat you'll do
  • Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities, including investments, and M&A
  • Conduct market research, financial analysis, and competitive assessments to support decision-making
  • Build business cases and financial models to assess the impact of potential initiatives
  • Lead and support due diligence efforts across functional areas
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Legal, Finance, etc.) to drive deal execution
  • Prepare materials for executive-level discussions and board presentations
  • Analyse and report on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Support post-deal integration efforts and measure success of strategic initiatives
Who you are
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in a Corporate Development or Corporate Strategy role at a top-tier strategy consultancy, private equity / venture capital firm, or tech company
  • Ideally experience executing M&A activities (e.g., prospecting, deal process, due diligence, post-merger integration)
  • Experience in strategy definition, growth strategy, or cost optimisation is a plus
  • Prior experience in a tech company is preferred; experience in the payments or fintech industry is a bonus, but not required
  • Demonstrated track record of high performance, reflected in strong ratings and career progression (e.g., timely promotions)
  • Holds an undergraduate degree or higher from a top-tier university
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with strong communication skills and a proactive, impact-driven mindset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Collaborative and able to influence stakeholders at all levels
