Do you have an interest in furthering your acute and cardiorespiratory expertise in a paediatric setting?Come and join the fantastic team of Physiotherapists at Birmingham Children's Hospital and experience a variety of paediatric specialties within the acute physiotherapy team that will excite and challenge you to learn.We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic physiotherapist interested in developing their knowledge and skills in acute and cardiorespiratory paediatric physiotherapy. The post offers the opportunity to work exclusively within the acute team and gain valuable experience of 9-month rotations within in our specialist acute areas including; paediatric critical care, acute and chronic paediatric respiratory medicine (inc PCD, CF and bronchiectasis), general medicine and surgery, cardiothoracics, Long Term Ventilation (LTV), hepatology (transplantation) and oncology.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will gain extensive experience and skills in assessing, treating, and managing a varied caseload of children with acute, chronic, and complex conditions. There will also be opportunities to actively participate in service development, team leadership, audit, and research. Clinical supervision and teaching will be an integral part of the role.In addition, you will participate in a comprehensive supportive in-service training programme and individual annual performance review scheme. The successful candidate will also be required to participate in the emergency out of hours respiratory rota and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of an evolving and exciting service.About usBirmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is the first of its type in the UK.
