- Lead in clinical audit/research to promote quality standards and evidence-based practice, including the utilisation of current research.
- Exercise leadership within the Physiotherapy service and acute team by taking on wider responsibilities.
- Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registration
- Attended relevant Post Graduate courses/qualifications
- Relevant leadership/management courses
- Previous experience including paediatric neurology and paediatric respiratory
- Evidence of teaching, training and supervising other staff
- Evidence of participation in audit/research/service development
- Evidence of effective multi-disciplinary team working
- Experience of training and supervising other professionals in specialist area
- Experience of managing patients with Liver problems and/or Oncological problems
- Able to deal with a busy workload
- Able to organise /delegate workload
- Evidence of good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of current professional issues and government policies relating to service provision
- Able to deal with stress and increased working pressures
- Understanding of resource management and skill-mix
- Able to respond to changes in working practice
- Desire to keep clinically updated and to deepen interest in specialty
- Willingness to participate in the out of hours rotas
- Desire to improve management and leadership skills
- Record of continuing professional development
- Awareness of needs of individuals from minority groups
- Able to demonstrate basic computer skills

- Previous experience of managing a service/team
