Are you a qualified social worker with experience working within justice services? Is criminal justice social work something you are passionate about? Does motivating and improving prisoners through various social work services appeal to you? Apply here for the opportunity to join a small, dedicated team in Glasgow. The role offers a minimum of 3 months work and a competitive hourly rate up to £37.Job Requirements:
  • A social work degree or equivalent
  • Member of the PVG scheme
  • Registered with Scotland Social Service Council (SSSC)
  • Relevant criminal justice experience and understanding of justice social work risk tools i.e. LS/CMI, RM2000, SA07, RoSH and SARAv3 would be desirable.
  • An understanding of legislative frameworks and changes around criminal justice social work.
  • Knowledge of potential opportunities and challenges a prison setting presents for clients, staff and delivery of service
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • In person risk assessments and reviews
  • Working with adults
  • Managing personal caseload
  • Working in partnership with Scottish Prison Service
  • Carry out risk management through risk case conferences and MAPPA meetings
