Gardener Private Estate SurreyJOB SPECIFICATIONA full-time gardener is needed for a private 17-acre Jekyll/Lutyens garden near Godalming in the Surrey Hills. Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.KEY DUIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAlong with tending beautiful ornamental gardens where good plant knowledge is required, the role includes occasional care for waterways, woodlands, and pathways. Flexibility is required when owners are present to help maintain the estate.You will report to the Head Gardener and Assistant Head Gardener, working alongside another full-time gardener.REQUIREMENTS· Your our own transport is a must due to the rural location.· keen to produce a high level of finish· positive and a good team player· good plant knowledge· flexibility to undertake some basic estate work (when the owners are in residence it’s all hands-on deck)· Practical work experience in a professional horticultural environmentA competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications is offered for this position, plus pension scheme. The role includes 28 days of holiday per year, inclusive of bank holidays.
